ROBERT “BOB” L. MEYERS, III is Of Counsel with Ford Nassen & Baldwin P.C. He has been a construction transaction and dispute resolution practitioner for over 35 years. His practice involves representation of virtually all participants in the construction industry to include owners, general contractors, subcontractors, design professionals and sureties. His experience covers every conceivable type, including residential multifamily, hotels, resorts, golf courses, sports arenas, sports stadiums, transportation facilities (highway, rail, airport facility and related projects), health care (assisted living facilities and both public and private hospitals), warehouses, manufacturing facilities, processing facilities, petroleum and petrochemical projects and office projects both large and small using all forms and methods of project delivery. He maintains an active dispute resolution practice serving as an arbitrator to resolve disputes between parties.

Admissions and Qualifications

Mr. Meyers is licensed to practice in all courts of the State of Texas and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas.

Professional Affiliations

Mr. Meyers has served on the American Arbitration Association National Roster of Arbitrators and Mediators for commercial (and construction) disputes (19??-Present).  He is involved in the following organizations:

  • American Bar Association (Member, Construction Industry Forum Committee and Litigation Section;
  • Former Chair of The Condemnation, Zoning and Property Use Litigation Committee, the Construction Litigation Committee, and the Litigation Section Fellows);
  • State Bar of Texas (Member and former chair of  The Texas Bar Foundation Fellows, The College of the State Bar, and Construction Law Section);
  • Dallas Bar Association (Member, Professionalism and the Minority Lawyer Professional Opportunity Task Force;
  • Former Chair and Founding member of the Construction Law Section;
  • Former Chair of Media Committee and Dallas Bar Foundation Fellows);
  • The Texas Center for Legal Ethics and Professionalism (Founding member, past treasurer, member of Board of Trustees and Vice Chair);
  • The Center for American and International Law (Member, former member of Board of Trustees and past chair of Research Fellows of the Center);
  • The American College of Construction Lawyers (Charter Fellow, former member of Board of Governors and former president).


Mr. Meyers has an “AV” Martindale-Hubbell peer review rating, a rating given to lawyers recognized by their peers for the highest levels of skill and integrity. He has been selected and listed as a Texas Super Lawyer each year the program has been in existence.  He has also been selected and listed in The Best Lawyers in Dallas, The Best Lawyers of America  and Chamber’s Leading Lawyers in America.
