Practice Emphasis
Jeffrey S. Chapman is a shareholder with Ford Nassen & Baldwin, P.C. He practices
construction law with a focus on the litigation and resolution of construction disputes. In
addition to dispute resolution, he regularly assists clients in preparing and negotiating
contracts and other procurement documentation. He primarily represents public and
private owners, commercial general contractors, and commercial subcontractors. His
practice involves performance and payment disputes, defect litigation, surety law, and
contract award controversies. After law school, he served as Briefing Attorney for
Justice Mack Kidd of the Third District Court of Appeals, Austin, Texas.
Admissions and Qualifications
Mr. Chapman is licensed to practice in all courts of the State of Texas, the United States Court of Appeals – Fifth Circuit, and the United States District Court for the Northern, Southern, and Western Districts of Texas.
Professional Affiliations
Mr. Chapman is currently the Treasurer/Secretary of the Austin Bara Association’s Construction
Law Section (2010). He has previously served as Chair of the Austin Young Construction Lawyers (2006-07) and was the State Bar of Texas Construction Law Section’s Young Lawyer Representative (2007).
